About Aberdeen Bowling Club

About Us

Aberdeen Bowling Club is the oldest outdoor bowling club in the city, established in 1883. The historic venue for outdoor lawn bowls is located at 50 Carlton Place and has an active season each year hosting competitive, friendly, games, as well as social events including BBQs and corporate taster sessions.

Lawn Bowls Season

The bowling season runs from mid-April to mid-September

The green is open for play every day after 10.00 am for competition ties and bounce games. Coaching is available for members. Visitors are welcome.

2026 Season

The opening of the green for this year was on Saturday 11th April 2026, and all our members were invited to attend.

For the forthcoming 2026 season, we look forward to a full programme of Club competitions and matches. The ALDBA League and Scott/Simpson and Bon-Accordmatches are now scheduled, as are Bowls Scotland matches, and we look forward to our members signing up and participating.
