Aberdeen Bowling Club Update - July 2026
Dear Members,
It has been very busy at the club of late. We have been very fortunate with the weather, which has made the bowling all the more enjoyable. Our club fixtures are well under way with everyone managing to keep to the time schedule. Congratulations to those of you who have successfully progressed to the next round and commiserations to those who have been knocked out. All matches have been played in good spirit.
We are doing well in our league matches - the results are up and down but a big thank you to all our members who are turning up to play for these matches.
Our ladies managed to qualify for the final round of the charity two bowl triples last week so good luck to them in the final.
The club friendlies are great fun and again many thanks to all who participate in these matches. We had a most enjoyable triples game against Dyce today.
We have hosted several corporate functions over the last couple of weeks. This is a welcome boost to club funds and it great to introduce the game to the wider community. Our visitors have been most complimentary of our green and the club facilities. Some of the companies we have hosted have returned several times so hopefully they will consider membership! A huge thank you to our members who organise and help out at these events.
We drew our first 50/50 draw last week. Congratulations to our winners!

Due to popular request, we are having another joint quiz night with Carlton Place next Saturday 11 July starting at 7.00pm. All members are welcome to attend with friends and family. Please see our event page for all the details. Steve and David have been hard at work thinking up questions to exercise our brains!
Laura Pike of The Pike Partnership will be sponsoring our Hat Tournament on Saturday 18 July. There will be afternoon tea for participants and prizes for the winning team, so please make sure that you sign up at the club or contact us at info@aberdeenbowlingclub.com for a fun afternoon of bowls.
