Aberdeen Bowling Club Update - August 2026

Dear Members,

We have our quiz evening this coming Saturday 29 September. It is great to see so many of our members signed up to come along and join in the fun. We do still have spaces, so if you haven’t signed up, you are very welcome to come along and join a team. The more the merrier. We kick off at 7.00 pm. The cost is £5 and bring your own refreshments.

Our date change for the Centenary Dinner has caused problems with attendees so we have made the decision to cancel the October event, and we will now have a combined Centenary Christmas Lunch on Saturday 12 December at the Atholl Hotel beginning at 1.00pm. The cost will be £38 for two courses including coffee or £46 for three courses including coffee. A menu has been emailed to all members for information. There will be a sign-up sheet at the club. We hope that you will come along to celebrate this event.

Congratulations to our winners for the August 50/50 draw: first prize of £100 goes to T & G Green, Second prize of £60 goes to A. Taylor and third prize of £30 goes to V. Souter.

The Mixed Forms final was played in good spirit last weekend. Congratulations to the winning team of Willie, Jackie, Alison and Lewis.
